Cloud & DevOps Intern

1. About the Role#

This is a full-time, remote internship role.

As a Cloud & DevOps Intern, you will work directly on the infrastructure layer behind Atomity. Atomity helps organisations understand cloud environments, compare infrastructure options and make better workload placement decisions across hyperscalers, European cloud providers and private infrastructure.

You will help connect these environments to Atomity, collect the infrastructure and operational data required for analysis, and build the foundations for continuous multi-cloud optimisation. This is not an infrastructure-maintenance internship. You will work on real cloud integrations and product capabilities that directly influence how Atomity understands and evaluates cloud environments.

2. What You Will Work On#

  • Build and maintain integrations with AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Support integrations with European and sovereign cloud providers, including OpenStack-based environments.
  • Work with cloud provider APIs, SDKs, pricing interfaces and billing data.
  • Collect infrastructure metadata across compute, storage, networking, regions, availability zones and workload configurations.
  • Integrate cloud cost and usage data for multi-cloud FinOps analysis.
  • Collect operational metrics required for workload assessment and optimisation.
  • Help create a common abstraction layer across different cloud providers.
  • Support discovery of existing customer cloud resources and workloads.
  • Work with Kubernetes and containerised environments.
  • Support Infrastructure-as-Code workflows using Terraform or OpenTofu.
  • Help build secure cloud credential and account-connection workflows.
  • Work with observability technologies such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
  • Support automated testing, CI/CD and reproducible cloud integration environments.
  • Research differences between provider services, pricing structures, regions and infrastructure capabilities.
  • Help Atomity continuously re-evaluate infrastructure options as pricing, configurations and workload conditions change.
