Golang Backend Intern

1. About the Role#

This is a full-time, remote internship role.
As a Golang Backend Intern, you will work closely with the founders, gaining hands-on exposure to building an early-stage product.

2. What You Will Work On#

  • Build and extend REST APIs using go-chi router
  • Write middleware for authentication, validation, and structured logging
  • Work with gRPC and Protocol Buffers
  • Implement event-driven systems using NATS JetStream
  • Design PostgreSQL schemas and write queries using pgx
  • Implement caching and rate limiting using Redis
  • Instrument services with Prometheus metrics
  • Integrate AWS SDK v2 and multi-cloud patterns
  • Implement resilience patterns such as retries and circuit breakers
  • Work with JWT authentication and secure credential handling
  • Run services locally using Docker and Docker Compose

4. Requirements#

  • Pursuing B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc. or related CS degree
  • Strong logical and communication skills
  • Comfortable with Go and concurrency model
  • Understanding of data structures and HTTP/REST
  • Familiar with Git and command-line tools

5. Nice to Have:#

  • Basic exposure to cloud concepts (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Interest in distributed systems
  • Experience with containers (Docker)
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases
  • Understanding of REST APIs and JSON

  • Duration: 3–6 months
  • Location: Remote only
  • Start date: Flexible
